Srinagar, May 2 -- Jammu- In a concerted effort to curb ticketless travel and enhance passenger experience, the Jammu Division of Northern Railway carried out an extensive ticket-checking drive throughout April 2026, generating more than Rs.76 lakh in penalties.
The month-long campaign was conducted under the supervision of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal. Ticket-checking teams were deployed across key railway stations including Jammu Tawi railway station, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra railway station, Udhampur railway station, and Pathankot Cantt railway station, as well as on trains passing through the division.
