High Court Quashes JK Bank Officer's Dismissal
Srinagar, Aug. 30 -- Srinagar- The High Court of J&K and Ladakh has quashed the dismissal of a JKB officer, holding that the Bank could not invoke Clause 12.29 of its Officers Service Manual (OSM) to dismiss an employee without a departmental inquiry unless all the mandatory preconditions prescribed under the provision were fulfilled.
A bench of Justice Sanjay Dhar, while disposing of the plea, ruled that four conditions must be satisfied before the Managing Director and CEO of the Bank can exercise powers under Clause 12.29.
