Srinagar, Sept. 2 -- Jammu- The High Court of J&K and Ladakh has dismissed the bail plea of a former Sarpanch from Rajouri, who was arrested in connection with an alleged group assault involving weapons.

A bench of Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal dismissed the petition filed by accused Kewal Krishan in connection with FIR No. 314/2026 registered at Police Station Rajouri under Sections 109, 126(2) and 191(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, along with Sections 4/25 of the Arms Act.

Krishan had claimed that he was falsely implicated in the case and that no specific overt act had been attributed to him.
