HC Clears Way For J&K Child Rights Commission Appointments
Srinagar, July 2 -- Srinagar- The High Court of J&K and Ladakh has cleared the way for the declaration of results and appointments to the Jammu and Kashmir Commission for Protection of Child Rights after dismissing as infructuous a petition that had led to an interim stay on the selection process.
A Division Bench comprising the Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Mohd Yousuf Wani observed that the selection process for the posts of Chairperson and Members of the Commission had already been completed, but the results could not be declared because of interim directions issued on November 7 last year, in a separate writ petition.
