Srinagar, Aug. 29 -- Srinagar- Seventeen Haj Group Organisers (HGOs) from Jammu and Kashmir have been cleared as eligible for registration under the Haj 2027 framework, with the Ministry of Minority Affairs yet to begin allotment of pilgrim quota.

The Ministry, in its final list issued under Notice No. HAJ-15/2/2026-HAJ-MoMA, said the applications received through the HGO Portal were examined by the scrutiny committee against prescribed eligibility requirements, including documentation, financial criteria and other policy conditions.

The 17 eligible J&K operators include one Category-I non-lead operator, two Category-I operators and 13 Category-II applicants.
