Gusty Winds Damage Property, Disrupt Power in Valley
Srinagar, April 16 -- Srinagar-Gusty winds swept across several parts of Kashmir on Thursday evening, damaging rooftops and infrastructure and causing minor disruptions to power supply in some areas, officials said.
The sudden winds, reported from multiple districts, uprooted temporary structures and affected electricity lines, leading to brief outages.
A 40-year-old labourer died and four others injured after strong winds blew away the roof of a cold storage facility in Pulwama district, officials said.
The incident occurred at the Lassipora industrial estate, where the structure suffered damage due to gusty winds, they said.
