Govt Extends Summer Vacation Till July 22
Srinagar, July 18 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday extended the ongoing summer vacation in all government and recognized private schools across the Kashmir Division and Winter Zone of Jammu Division by three days in view of the prevailing heatwave and an adverse weather forecast.
According to the order, schools that were scheduled to reopen on July 20 will now remain closed until July 22. Classes will resume on July 23, subject to any further orders issued by the government.
The decision was taken as a precautionary measure following the prolonged spell of extreme heat across the Valley and weather advisories issued by the Meteorological Department.
