Srinagar, June 6 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir has sufficient stocks of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at present, but rising geopolitical tensions and uncertainty in global markets could affect fuel supply chains in the coming days, Transport, Youth Services and Sports Minister Satish Sharma said on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters, Sharma said the government was closely monitoring the situation and assured the public that there was no immediate shortage of LPG in the Union Territory.

"We currently have sufficient LPG stocks, but we must not ignore the fact that global conditions are not good. Geopolitical tensions will have an impact," the minister said.
