Srinagar, May 30 -- Srinagar- Fresh hailstorms lashed parts of Shopian and Kupwara districts on Saturday, raising concerns among farmers and orchardists amid a prolonged spell of erratic weather across Kashmir.

Reports said several areas in the two districts witnessed hail accompanied by sudden changes in weather conditions, with clear skies quickly giving way to stormy weather.

The fresh weather disturbance caused anxiety among residents, particularly those dependent on horticulture and agriculture, as hailstorms during this period can potentially damage fruit crops and orchards.
