Free Public Transport Travel Approved For Differently-Abled Persons In J&K
Srinagar, Sept. 16 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday approved free travel on public transport for differently-abled persons, fulfilling a key Budget announcement made in March this year.
The Office of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said the facility would cover services operated by the Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC), besides e-buses run by Jammu Smart City Limited and Srinagar Smart City Limited.
"Fulfilling a key Budget announcement made in March this year, the Government has sanctioned free ridership for differently-abled persons in public transport," the Chief Minister's Office said in a post on X.
