Srinagar, Sept. 9 -- Srinagar- Cinema has found an unusual setting on the waters of Dal Lake, where the first International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) has turned the iconic lake into a floating theatre.

The initiative, among the major attractions of the four-day festival that began on September 7, has drawn families, film enthusiasts, visitors and curious onlookers to the lakefront.

The Floating Cinema opened on the first day with the screening of the 1961 Hindi classic Junglee, creating a striking spectacle as the film was projected on a large screen over the waters of Dal Lake.

On Wednesday, audiences were treated to Kashmir Ki Kali, the popular classic featuring Shammi Kapoor and Sharmila Tagore.
