India, Nov. 4 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K has filed a chargesheet against a Pulwama resident in an alleged Rs 35 lakh cheque fraud case, officials said.

The chargesheet was filed before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Pulwama, in connection with FIR No. 44/2026 registered under Sections 318(2), 336(3) and 340 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The accused has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Yatoo, a resident of Chanpora, Rajpora, Pulwama.

According to a spokesperson, the case was registered following a written complaint alleging that the complainant was in a partnership business with the accused and an amount of Rs 35 lakh was found outstanding against him during the settlement of a...
