Srinagar, Sept. 27 -- Srinagar- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K has arrested a long-absconding accused in connection with multiple cases of alleged cheating, forgery and land-related fraud involving migrant properties.

The accused, identified as Soom Nath Koul, son of Kalash Nath Koul, a resident of Lotus Tower, Bengaluru, and presently residing in Janipur, Jammu, was arrested in compliance with the orders of the Court of the Sub-Judge, Srinagar.

Officials said a special team was constituted to execute the court orders and, after sustained efforts and following due procedure, traced and apprehended the accused, who had allegedly remained absconding for several years.
