Srinagar, Aug. 23 -- Srinagar- A controversial plan by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to equip officers with thousands of electric shock gloves has triggered a fresh backlash, with three Democratic lawmakers demanding that the procurement be halted immediately.

Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar, along with Bennie Thompson and Lou Correa, warned that the devices could be misused by poorly trained officers and potentially cause serious injury or death.
