India, March 8 -- The government on Sunday decided to reopen all educational institutions in Kashmir region on Monday.

The decision comes a week after the government had ordered closure of all educational institutions as a precautionary measure.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo said that the schools, colleges and universities in all districts of Kashmir region will reopen on Monday.

"After taking a review of ground situation, we have decided to reopen the educational institutions in all districts of Kashmir from Monday," she said, as per news agency KNO.

Previously a week back, the government had ordered closure of schools and colleges across Kashmir region in order to ensure the safety of the students.
