Srinagar, July 25 -- New Delhi- Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned on Saturday, bringing the curtains down on a 36-day nationwide agitation led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) over the NEET paper leak and alleged irregularities in competitive examinations. The movement, which drew lakhs of students and supporters across the country, was called off after the Centre accepted all the protesters' remaining demands, including compensation for families of students who allegedly died by suicide following the examination controversy and withdrawal of FIRs against protesters.
