Srinagar, July 2 -- Srinagar- The Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Srinagar, has summoned the editor or authorised representative of a local news portal over allegations that it interviewed and recorded a minor without obtaining informed consent from the child's parent or legal guardian and without the knowledge or permission of the school authorities.

According to the summons, the Editor/Authorised Representative of Fair Voice News has been directed to appear before the Committee on July 3 at 12 noon at its office in Srinagar.

The Committee has also asked the reporter or interviewer concerned, the cameraperson and any other media personnel present during the interview to accompany the authorised representative.
