Srinagar, Sept. 28 -- Srinagar- Amid continued uproar in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Monday, Congress MLAs raised slogans of "Vote Chor" and "Ghadi Chhodo" as BJP legislators protested against the statehood resolution moved by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

BJP members raised slogans opposing the wording of the resolution, particularly references to autonomy and the pre-1953 position.

Meanwhile, Congress MLAs displayed banners and posters inside the House and demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, reported news agency KNO.
