Srinagar, Aug. 11 -- Srinagar- The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has received significant financial support under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), with the Centre allocating Rs 980 crore for the current financial year 2026-27, the Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday.

Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan gave the information in reply to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 3839, raised by June Maliah and Shafi Parambil, who sought details of roads sanctioned, completed and under construction under PMGSY, funds allocated, released and utilised, reasons for delays and measures taken to ensure timely completion of pending projects.
