Srinagar, Aug. 20 -- Srinagar- A 45-year-old woman died after an SUV collided with another vehicle near Kangan in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Thursday.

An official said that the accident occurred when the Scorpio vehicle collided with a Tata Mobile near the Akhal area of Kangan.

He said the woman sustained injuries in the incident and was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kangan, where doctors declared her brought dead.

She was later identified as Naseema Begum (45), wife of Nazir Ahmad Ahanger and a resident of Akhal, Kangan.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (KNO)
