India, Oct. 12 -- A Border Security Force (BSF) constable died after suffering a cardiac arrest in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday morning, officials said.

An official said that the constable complained of chest pain in the morning, following which he was taken to District Hospital (DH) Poonch, reported news agency KNO.

He said the BSF constable suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed at the hospital, but later died during treatment.

The official said medico-legal formalities were underway, after which the body would be handed over to the family.
