Autumn Session of J&K Assembly Likely to be Convened from Sept 21
Srinagar, Aug. 6 -- Srinagar- The autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is likely to be convened from September 21, sources disclosed.
Sources said that the cabinet, which met on Tuesday afternoon under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is understood to have recommended to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha the convening of the autumn session. "The session is likely to commence from September 21," they disclosed, adding that the LG will now formally summon the House.
As per the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, the interval between J&K Assembly's last sitting in one session and the date appointed for its first sitting in the next session cannot exceed six months.
