Srinagar, Aug. 10 -- Srinagar- The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has allocated Rs 22.72 crore for conservation, preservation and environmental development of protected monuments in Jammu and Kashmir during the last three financial years and the current fiscal, with Rs 20.13 crore spent so far, according to a Lok Sabha reply.

The details were provided by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in a written reply to Lok Sabha regarding conservation of national cultural heritage under the National Culture Fund and the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958.
