Anantnag Terror- 3 Decades Later, Another Coffin Returns Home
Srinagar, July 22 -- Srinagar- Three decades after the Qureshi family of Lolipora in central Kashmir's Beerwah lost its patriarch in the line of duty, tragedy struck the household once again on Wednesday when terrorists killed Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi while he was deployed on Amarnath Yatra security duty in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.
For the family, the loss reopened wounds that had never fully healed.
Ashiq's father, Head Constable Ghulam Mohiuddin Qureshi, died in 1990 after coming under a landslide in Ramban district while on official duty.
