Srinagar, June 22 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday issued a detailed traffic advisory for the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra 2026, announcing daily restrictions on the movement of civilian traffic along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) during the pilgrimage period.

According to the advisory, the annual yatra will commence on July 3 and conclude on August 28.

To facilitate the smooth movement of pilgrim convoys, police said general traffic traveling from Kashmir towards Jammu will not be allowed to cross the Navyug Tunnel after 11:30 a.m. on a daily basis. Similarly, vehicles moving from Jammu towards Kashmir will not be permitted to cross the tunnel after 3:00 p.m. throughout the yatra period.
