Amarnath Yatra: LG Asks Unregistered Yatris To Defer J&K Travel
Srinagar, July 4 -- Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday asked unregistered pilgrims to defer their travel to the Union Territory for the next few days amid an unusual rush of yatris arriving without valid permits for the Amarnath Yatra.
Sinha said only pilgrims possessing valid registration permits for their designated dates would be allowed to proceed towards the holy cave shrine.
"I appeal to all intending pilgrims to undertake the Yatra only after obtaining a valid Yatra Registration Permit for their allotted date. Only registered Yatris for their designated date will be permitted to proceed to the Holy Cave Shrine," Sinha said in a post on X.
