India, March 10 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday said it trapped and arrested a Patwari of Halqa Batmaloo in Srinagar red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 for issuing revenue extracts in favour of a complainant's relative.
In a statement, a spokesperson said Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau received a written complaint alleging therein that Patwari Halqa Batmaloo Srinagar namely Saffdar Hussain Mir is demanding rupees 10,000 as bribe in lieu of issuance of revenue extracts in favour of a relative of the complainant and was asked to be paid today in order to receive the requisite documents.
