65 Building Violations: HC Directs Action Against J&K Tribunal Member
Srinagar, Aug. 19 -- Srinagar- The High Court of J&K and Ladakh has directed the Government to initiate "appropriate" action against a former member of the J&K Special Tribunal, who was prima facie found guilty of compounding 65 major building violations for "extraneous" considerations.
In this regard, a Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Mohd Yousuf Wani directed its Registry to forward the vigilance report to the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir for appropriate action against the erring public servant.
The court passed the directions while closing a Public Interest Litigation concerning alleged violations of building bye-laws in Gogji Bagh area of Srinagar.
