India, Oct. 29 -- A 60-year-old man was injured after being bitten by a dog in Beerwah area of Central Kashmir's Budgam district, officials said on Thursday.

The injured man, identified as Ghulam Rasool Banday, a resident of Beerwah, was initially treated at the Sub-District Hospital in Beerwah before being shifted to JVC Hospital for further treatment, reported news agency KNT.

The district administration has advised people to remain vigilant in areas where stray dogs are present and ensure that young children are accompanied by adults while walking on roads.
