Srinagar, April 30 -- Srinagar- A court in Anantnag has sentenced five officials of the Food and Supplies Department to three years of simple imprisonment in a nearly three-decade-old misappropriation case.

The Special Judge, Anti-Corruption Court Anantnag, Ms. Masarat Roohi, had on April 20 convicted Abdul Khaliq Shah, Ghulam Nabi Mir, Mohammad Shafi Rather, Ghulam Hassan Hajam, and Muzaffar Ahmad Bichoo-each of whom had served as store keepers at various Food Supplies Sale Centres in Pahalgam, Laripora, Dawatoo, Aru, Ashmuqam, and Katsoo.
