3 Booked in Fake Kashmir Job Scam
Srinagar, July 26 -- Srinagar- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch, Jammu and Kashmir, has filed a chargesheet against three persons in connection with an alleged fake government recruitment racket in which job seekers were duped of Rs.23 lakh on the false promise of securing government jobs.
The chargesheet was filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, in FIR No. 01/2026 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
The accused have been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh alias Gulzar of Palpora Pamposh Colony, Noor Bagh in Srinagar, Mohammad Yousuf Wani of Kunzer in Baramulla district, and Mohammad Abdullah Mir of Shivath in the Sumbal area of Bandipora district.
