Srinagar, Aug. 7 -- Srinagar- In a major administrative decision aimed at strengthening the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), the Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday approved the promotion of 28 JKAS officers to the Super Time Scale, Special Scale and Selection Grade through separate orders issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).

According to Government Order No. 1374-JK(GAD) of 2026, Pawan Singh Rathore has been promoted to the Super Time Scale of JKAS (Level-14: Rs.1,44,200 to Rs.2,18,200). The promotion has been granted notionally with effect from September 26, 2025, while it will take effect on a regular prospective basis, subject to the outcome of pending court cases.
