Srinagar, April 16 -- Jammu- Over 25,000 pilgrims have registered in the first two days for this year's Amarnath Yatra, with heavy rush witnessed at registration counters in Jammu, officials said on Thursday.
The registration for the 57-day pilgrimage began on April 15, drawing large numbers of devotees to designated bank branches as well as online platforms. Officials said 19,402 registrations were recorded on the first day alone.
Long queues were seen outside registration counters of Jammu and Kashmir Bank and Punjab National Bank, with devotees chanting religious slogans as they waited for their turn.
