Srinagar, July 28 -- Srinagar- Two men have been arrested for allegedly gang raping a 21-year-old woman, recording the assault on a mobile phone, and threatening her into silence in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla Gurinderpal Singh said the woman approached Police Station Baramulla on July 25 and lodged a written complaint alleging that the crime had taken place on July 3 at Jalsheeri Drangbal.

According to the complaint, the woman had gone to the picnic spot with a male friend when the two accused allegedly accosted them, assaulted the man and forced him to flee before sexually assaulting the woman.
