India, Oct. 15 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually inaugurated and dedicated development projects worth around Rs 3,350 crore in Ladakh, including a new terminal building at Leh airport and a strategic road aimed at improving connectivity in the Union Territory.

Highlighting the Centre's focus on the region, Modi said the development of Ladakh remained a top priority, with particular emphasis on improving opportunities for the younger generation through education, infrastructure and skill development.

"Our special focus is on the new generation of Ladakh. The youth of Ladakh will now be able to get better opportunities for higher education, research, and new skills right in their own region," he said.
