'Border Villages' Distance From Delhi Has Reduced'
Srinagar, May 12 -- Srinagar- Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, border villages' distance from Delhi has reduced. They are connected to the mainstream of development, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Monday while addressing a public gathering at Uran Bowa village in Baramulla.
The Lieutenant Governor visited the Vibrant Village in Uri sector, reviewed ongoing schemes and inaugurated several development projects under the Centre's Vibrant Villages Programme.
Calling border residents partners in nation-building, Sinha said farmers, youth and women living in frontier areas shoulder an "extraordinary responsibility" in serving the country.
