Srinagar, July 3 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has taken over the direct management of Seer Hamadaan Ziyarat Assar-i-Shareef, Jamia Masjid and all allied Waqf properties in Anantnag with immediate effect following repeated representations from local residents.Acting on the directions of Waqf Board Chairperson Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, the Board issued Order No. 100 of 2026, appointing an Administrator to assume charge and prepare a complete inventory of all properties, assets, records and accounts.To facilitate the transition, all financial transactions have been frozen, with withdrawals from Waqf bank accounts prohibited without Board authorization.
