Srinagar, May 18 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that terror recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir has become "almost negligible," asserting that sustained counter-terror operations have eliminated top militant commanders and significantly weakened the terror ecosystem in the Union Territory.

Addressing a gathering, the LG said infiltration attempts from across the border would continue to face a strong response from security forces. Referring to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, he said the country now knows the perpetrators behind the incident and that security forces avenged the attack through a precise operation.
