Sakina Itoo Rules Out Immediate Shift to Online Classes in J&K
Srinagar, May 14 -- Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday ruled out any immediate move toward online classes in educational institutions, saying no such decision was under consideration at present.
Responding to questions from reporters regarding the possibility of virtual classes following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for work-from-home and austerity measures amid fuel concerns, Itoo said there was "nothing like that" at the moment.
"There is nothing like that. Let us see," the minister said when asked whether the government was considering shifting schools or educational institutions to online mode.
