Srinagar, May 16 -- In a major opportunity for aspiring footballers in Jammu and Kashmir, NorthEast United FC will conduct open selection trials in Srinagar on May 18 in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.

The trials, scheduled to be held at the TRC Synthetic Turf Ground from 11 am onwards, mark the first time that an Indian Super League (ISL) club is organising open football selection trials in Jammu and Kashmir.

The initiative is being seen as a major boost for football in the Valley, providing young players a direct platform to showcase their talent before professional scouts and coaches from one of India's top football clubs.
