Srinagar, July 2 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will visit Shopian on Thursday to review the progress of ongoing developmental works and welfare programmes, and inaugurate a series of public infrastructure projects collectively valued at over Rs 76 crore, officials said.

Official sources told during the day-long visit, the Chief Minister will dedicate, lay foundation stones for, and formally inaugurate multiple schemes aimed at boosting the district's socio-economic profile, they added.

The projects span key sectors including roads, water supply, health, education and urban infrastructure, with a special focus on improving last-mile connectivity and basic amenities in the horticulture-rich district.
