Nigeria, July 13 -- The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says it has uploaded the names of its presidential, vice-presidential and National Assembly candidates for the 2027 general election to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal.

The announcement was made on Sunday by the faction's National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, who described the move as another step towards ensuring the party participates fully in the 2027 polls.

According to Mohammed, the upload reflects the leadership's commitment to fulfilling its promise to field candidates for the elections.
