Nigeria, May 24 -- Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has expressed appreciation to aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State who agreed to a consensus arrangement ahead of the party's 2027 governorship election plans.

Saraki, who leads the opposition PDP in Kwara State, had on Saturday announced Kale Kawu as the party's consensus candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial election.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Saraki commended the other aspirants for what he described as their maturity, sacrifice and commitment to the unity of the party.
