Nigeria, July 11 -- A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Otunba Adetunji Oyabambi, has expressed condolences to the Onijagbo of Ijagbo, Oba Safadeen Buhari Babalola, Ilufemiloye, and his wife, Olori Wosilat Adenike Buhari, following the death of the Olori's mother, Alhaja Salamat Abike Sanusi.

Alhaja Sanusi died on July 7, 2026.

Oyabambi conveyed his sympathies in a statement personally signed and made available to journalists, describing the death of the family matriarch as a painful and irreparable loss.

The PDP stalwart said he received the news of the deceased's passing with sadness, noting that the loss of a mother is a painful experience that leaves an irreplaceable vacuum in every family.
