Nigeria, May 5 -- The Acting Head of Service in Kwara State, Olufunke Mercy Shittu, has expressed grief over a road accident that claimed the lives of three workers and left four others injured on Workers' Day.

The victims were said to be returning from the May Day celebration in Ilorin when the incident occurred.

In a condolence message issued by her office, Shittu described the accident as tragic and a painful loss to the state workforce, noting that it had cast a shadow over a day meant to celebrate workers' contributions.

She extended condolences to the families of the deceased, urging them to find comfort in the lives their loved ones lived in service to the state and humanity.
