Nigeria, Sept. 12 -- The Kwara State Government has approved Monday, September 21, 2026, as the resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session in all public and private primary and secondary schools across the state.

The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, announced this on Wednesday at the ministry's headquarters in Ilorin.

Olohungbebe said the approved academic calendar would guide schools through the new session, outlining resumption dates, mid-term breaks, examination periods and vacation dates for the three terms.

He said the session would run from September 2026 to July 2027.
