Nigeria, July 31 -- The Kwara State Government has approved the construction of a 65-kilometre 33KV overhead electricity line from the Jebba Paper Mills Injection Substation to Bokungi Village in Edu Local Government Area as part of efforts to improve electricity supply across the state.

The project also includes the rehabilitation of the Jebba/Bacita 33KV feeder from Bokungi to Gbugbu along the Lafiagi-Patigi corridor.

Commissioner for Energy, AbdulAzeez Kola AbdulGaniy, announced the approval while speaking with journalists in his office on Friday.

He said the project reflects the administration's commitment to expanding access to reliable electricity and strengthening power infrastructure in Kwara.
