Nigeria, Feb. 27 -- The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and other harmful social practices, calling for a stronger multisectoral approach as it reviews its 2026-2030 Action Plan on FGM.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Chief (Mrs) Opeyemi Oluwakemi Afolashade, made the call on Tuesday during a review meeting held at the conference room of the Ministry in Ilorin.
