Nigeria, Sept. 28 -- The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has formally taken over its new Kwara State Secretariat at 187 Lagos Road, Ilorin, with the party's governorship candidate, Prof. Abdulmumin Olayinka Ajia, urging members to unite ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking at the handover ceremony on Monday, September 28, 2026, Ajia said the secretariat was being handed over to the state executive committee led by Alhaji AbdulGaniyu AbdulSalam to strengthen the effective administration and coordination of the party in the state.
