Nigeria, May 24 -- Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. Ali Ahmad, has expressed appreciation to former Senate President Bukola Saraki following the emergence of Kale Kawu as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, consensus candidate ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State.

Ahmad, who was among the aspirants involved in the consensus arrangement announced by Saraki on Saturday, said the party must now move beyond the selection process and focus on rebuilding the PDP for victory.

Reacting in a tweet posted shortly after Saraki's message to him on Sunday, Ahmad thanked the former Senate President for his leadership and pledged commitment to the next phase of the party's political strategy.
